Established in 1877, the University of Tokyo is Japan's oldest and most prestigious university. The Hongo Campus is renowned for its beautiful landscape, featuring iconic landmarks such as the Akamon (Red Gate) and Sanshiro Pond, providing a serene and historic academic atmosphere in the heart of Tokyo.

LEEM/PEEM-14 will be held at the Ito Hall, a facility designed for international academic exchange.

Access to Hongo Campus

The campus is conveniently located with easy access via multiple subway lines:

Hongo-sanchome Station: (Marunouchi Line / Oedo Line) – 5-8 min walk.
Todaimae Station: (Namboku Line) – 10 min walk.
Yushima Station: (Chiyoda Line) – 10 min walk.

Accomodation

Tokyo offers a wide range of accommodation options. For the convenience of LEEM/PEEM-14 participants, we recommend staying in the Hongo, Ueno, or Suidobashi areas.

The following areas are highly recommended:

Ueno: Cultural hub with museums and direct "Skyliner" train access to Narita Airport.1 stop by subway

Suidobashi / Korakuen: Lively area with Tokyo Dome City, shopping, and many dining options. 1 stops by subway

Hotel Wing International Select Korakuen: Affordable and modern option near the Marunouchi Line.
Hotel Tokyo Garden Palace: Located between Ochanomizu and Hongo.
Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno: Ideal for those who prefer staying near Ueno Station for easy airport transport.

October is a very popular season for tourism and academic events in Tokyo. Whether you choose our blocked rooms or book independently, we strongly recommend securing your accommodation as early as possible.
